This is a part-time position with the opportunity to transition to full-time if they would like, based on clinic needs and employee preference. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, and is comfortable with a high degree of autonomy in their role. Hours can be chosen by PTA as long as it stays consistent for the most part through the year.
This position offers a flexible schedule where the successful candidate can choose their work hours. Once established, the schedule should remain consistent. - Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions.
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home exercise programs.
- Perform manual therapy techniques as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with patients, the supervising Physical Therapist, and administrative staff.
- Current and valid PTA license in the state of Florida.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a PTA, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
