What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cutback Saw Operator position at Pries Enterprises Inc?
Pries is looking for an Cutback Saw Operator to add to our team! No previous experience needed!
This position is an 8 hour shift from 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday and a possible Saturday depending on production. Starting at up to $22 per hour!
*steel toe requirement* PPE Reimbursement Available
Duties include:
- Verify order length of metal in Epics, confirm die profile to work order
- Verify cut tolerance
- Inspect material for defects, and burr after cut. Scrap metal found to be defective
- Position guides according to specifications of cut
- Check saw stop, blade and blade lubrication, of the material, chip collector and chip barrel.
- Instruct saw help in keeping up with production and upholding quality standards, Team of 1 or 2
- Ensure the stacking equipment is aligning material properly in the rack per balance standards
- Create rack setups that ensure protection and prevent damage of metal
- Direct saw help employees to ensure proper packing and stacking of material
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety Department
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
- Clean and organize your work area
