Quality Control Technician

PrideStaff Akron is currently hiring for a Lab Technician for a Rubber Manufacturer located in Cuyahoga Falls, OH!
Shift: First Shift
Pay: $16.50
Job Description:
Mix and test new formulations for internal Research and Development and new customer Formulation Certification
Job Requirements:
Weigh, mix and test Research and Development projects to meet the following objectives:
- Certification of customer supplied formulas to required specifications
- Development of proprietary compounds for stock or specific customer requirements
- Continuous improvement and optimization of current compounds.
- Problem solving for product quality issue.
- Obtain and report use of raw materials from inventory for R&D batches
- Maintain cleanliness of R&D lab area
- Prepare R&D for shipments to customers
- Track stock levels of R&D supplies and report for replenishment
- Timely and skillful performance of other job related duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Associate degree or equivalent in polymer, rubber or chemical technology preferred
- Two years experience in a rubber lab environment and/or industrial manufacturing
- Able to multitask, good decision making and problem solving skills are a must.
- Attention to detail, able to interpret data and communicate information effectively
- Accuracy and thoroughness in testing and data entry
- Organized and flexible.
