What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Brake Operator position at PrideStaff?
Our client in Freehold, NJ, is seeking a Direct Hire Press Brake Operator.
Pay rate: $20–$23/HR (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Set up, load, and run press brakes and other metalworking gear safely.
- Read blueprints and engineering drawings to handle both simple and complex bending jobs.
- Machine setups, including custom punch tweaks and specialized tooling combinations.
- Check parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges throughout your shift for quality.
- Handle basic routine maintenance to keep the machines running smoothly.
Requirements
- At least 2 years in manufacturing, with 1 year specifically operating a press brake.
- Hands-on experience with press brakes or metal folding equipment.
- Comfortable reading and working off technical blueprints and spec sheets.
- Skilled with basic precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
