Job Description
A CNC Machinist is responsible for accurately machining parts to print, using a variety of machines and methods. The ideal candidate has experience with manual and CNC machines, obtained through an accredited trade school or on-the-job training.
This is not a button-pusher position; we are looking for skilled machinists who can work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Machining parts that are components of tooling used in major automobile manufacturers' welding lines
- Operating manual mills and CNC mill equipment
- Reading and understanding shop blueprints, metric measuring instruments
- Working well with others in their department to accomplish production targets
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to read shop blueprints and metric measuring devices (tape measure/ruler)
- Pass background check and drug test
Preferred Skills
- Associate's Degree or equivalent in machining
- Experience using Mastercam to create machining programs
- Experience with Mazak/Okuma machines
- Capability of setting up, milling, and drilling of bases
