Senior Financial Analyst - Manufacturing & Supply Chain

- Target Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
About the Opportunity
PrideStaff Financial has partnered with a national product manufacturer and distributor serving the healthcare, hospitality, and e-commerce sectors. We are seeking a proactive Senior Financial Analyst with a background in manufacturing or physical goods distribution. Operating with minimal supervision, you will take complete ownership of inventory KPIs, manufacturing/supply chain cost controls, and product margin performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Working Capital: Own physical stock KPIs (DOI, turnover, inventory velocity, dynamic holding costs); analyze stock control gaps and evaluate their direct impact on the P&L, Balance Sheet, and working capital.
- Manufacturing & COGS Analysis: Drive granular gross margin optimization; evaluate standard costing, landed costs, inbound freight, and transportation expenses against customer selling prices to capture cost-saving opportunities.
- Systems & Data Integrity: Partner with IT and plant/warehouse operations to build automated stock monitoring tools within ERP systems.
- Commercial Finance: Partner with sales leadership on product pricing strategies, deal margins, customer profitability, and dynamic financial modeling.
Core Requirements
- Experience: 6–9 years in FP&A with dedicated experience in manufacturing, consumer goods (CPG), wholesale, or distribution environments. (Banking/Financial Services backgrounds will not fit this role).
- Hands-on Expertise: Proven track record in inventory mechanics, landed transportation costs, and driver-based gross margin improvement.
- Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of how supply chain operations, inventory valuation, and stock control directly affect Balance Sheet and P&L performance.
- Work Style & Tech: High-autonomy self-starter who adapts quickly to operational concepts. Advanced Excel (dynamic modeling) and hands-on experience with manufacturing/distribution ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
