What You'll Be Doing
As the Senior Staff Accountant, you'll help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting the monthly close process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing the general ledger and financial reports for accuracy and completeness
- Preparing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing invoices and allocation schedules for complex consolidated billings
- Preparing and posting routine and non-routine journal entries, including depreciation, amortization and accruals
- Playing an active role in the month-end close process
- Researching financial variances and anomalies and preparing correcting journal entries when needed
- Partnering with colleagues across the organization to answer financial questions and resolve accounting issues
- Helping maintain accurate, organized and reliable financial records and processes
What We're Looking For
You could be a great fit if you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 2 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines
