We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Buffalo, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of advanced freeze-drying equipment used in industrial and pharmaceutical applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of freeze-drying equipment
- Troubleshoot system errors and failures; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Support equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites
- Assist with equipment production, testing, and customer support when not traveling
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records
- Provide on-call support per service agreements
- Represent the company with professionalism and a strong customer service approach at all client locations
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
Required Skills & Experience:
- Technical certificate in electro-mechanical or process disciplines, or associate degree in a technical field with 3–5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Understanding of control systems (PC/PLC architectures)
- Experience with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and drawings
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve equipment issues independently
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel extensively and provide on-call support as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in FDA-regulated or other highly controlled environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, etc.)
- Familiarity with freeze-drying processes
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining long-term client relationships
