Position: Reactor Room Material Handler
Location: Danbury, CT
Salary: $24/hour
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Wed - Fri
Overview:
We are seeking a Reactor Room Material Handler to join our client's team in Danbury, CT. In this role, you will perform a range of warehousing and material handling tasks in support of our production operations. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to manage chemical materials responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare requisition documents for Reactor Room materials
- Transport, weigh, pour, blend, mix, pump, and pack chemical materials per safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain proper stock levels of Reactor Room supplies
- Move waste drums to the designated Waste Room and handle empty or dirty drums accordingly
- Keep work areas organized and clean, including trash and waste material management
- Maintain accurate production, inventory, training, and safety records (manual or digital)
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies for materials handling
- Secure the warehouse by locking doors and setting alarms, as needed
- Ensure proper use and care of all equipment and technology
- Follow all company environmental and safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Up to 1 year of related experience
- Attention to detail and strong safety awareness
- Ability to read, write, and complete paperwork accurately
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of weights and measures
- Understanding of equipment operation and light maintenance
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of GMPs and food safety regulations is an asset
