Title: Reactor Room Material Handler
Type: Full-time
Location: Danbury, CT 06810
Pay range: $48-50k
Shift time: 6 am -6 pm (Sunday - Tuesday)
6 am -6 pm (Wednesday- Friday)
Under direct supervision, this position performs a variety of warehousing and material handling tasks with a focus on the safe and accurate movement of chemical materials within production and shipping/receiving departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare requisition documents and maintain inventory levels for production rooms.
Safely transport, weigh, pour, blend, mix, pump, and package chemical materials in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Adhere to adulteration control procedures during material handling.
Manage waste materials by moving drums from production areas to designated waste zones.
Handle empty and used drums, ensuring proper reuse or disposal.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, including waste and trash management.
Accurately complete and maintain production, inventory, safety, training, and regulatory records in both written and digital formats.
Operate equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts for loading and unloading materials.
May be required to secure facility access points and activate alarm systems when necessary.
Follow all established environmental, health, and safety protocols and procedures.
Support the maintenance and proper use of tools, systems, and equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Some experience (up to 1 year) in a related manufacturing or warehousing environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to regulatory compliance.
Basic computer skills, including data entry and record-keeping.
Proficiency in reading, measuring, and following written instructions.
Ability to operate light equipment and tools used in warehouse or production settings.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety standards.
Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong awareness of surrounding activities to support effective collaboration.
Salary : $48,000 - $50,000
