Medical Technologist (MT/MLT/MLS)
Location: Liberal, KS
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Starting Pay: $27.10 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a Medical Technologist to join a hospital laboratory team in Liberal, Kansas. The ideal candidate will have laboratory testing experience, phlebotomy skills, and the ability to perform accurate diagnostic testing across multiple laboratory departments.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in areas such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, urinalysis, and coagulation.
- Collect blood samples and perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Analyze and report laboratory results accurately.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and follow quality control procedures.
- Follow laboratory safety standards and established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Eligible qualification as an MT, MLT, or MLS.
- Phlebotomy skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Important Details
- Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
- Weekends: Every third weekend, once fully integrated into the day-shift rotation.
- Holidays: Rotation includes two minor and one major holiday.
- Cross-Training: May occasionally cover night shift.
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,500 with proof of eligible expenses.
- Career Opportunities: Lead positions in microbiology and chemistry may be available for MLS-qualified candidates.
