Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) / Medical Lab Technician (MLT) – Travel Contract
Location: Logansport, Indiana
Contract: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | Variable Shifts (Days/Nights | 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join a hospital laboratory team in Logansport, IN. This role requires a skilled generalist comfortable working across multiple lab departments in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing in:
- Blood Bank
- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Urinalysis
- Coagulation
- Microbiology (including kit testing)
- Ensure accurate and timely lab results
- Maintain quality and safety standards
- Work independently during night shifts (with phlebotomist support)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of core lab experience (Generalist)
- ASCP or AMT Certification required
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
Schedule & Work Details
- 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Rotating shifts (days/nights)
- Every 3rd weekend & holidays required
- No on-call duties
- Floating between departments only
