Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a “CT Tech” position that will provide support to our client's healthcare systems in New York, NY. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Position: - CT Tech
Contract: - 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Location: - New York, NY
Schedule: - Monday – Friday 4pm-12am w/EOW 4pm-12am
Shift: - 5X7.50=37.50hrs
Pay Range: - $2900 - $3000 Weekly gross
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical imaging techniques. The CT Technologist will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic evaluations.
Duties
- Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to insure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment in order to ensure the equipment is calibrated and working properly before any patient study is performed.
- Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician’s order following the prescribed protocol.
- Observes all department documentation policies by filling in all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, as well as, reporting equipment problems in order to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Performs quality control, quality assurance and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principle.
- Maintains and develops and retrieves patient films and electronic date for Radiologist interpretation.
- Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use.
- Receives radiopharmaceutical on day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verifies activity level of the does prior to administration.
Requirements
- Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols in order to ensure uniformity and accuracy. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient’s needs prior to, during and after visits in the Radiology department.
- Requirements include licensing with NYS DOH in Radiologic Technologist, ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, and BLS certification. At least 1 year of CT experience; Graduate of Radiologic Technolgist
- Required: New York State License (L.R.T), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and current CT certiciation)
