Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Location: Manchester, CT 06042
- Job Type: Local contract
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Pay Range: $19-$24/hour
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Duties:
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatment in an outpatient endocrinology clinic
- Record vital signs, patient history, medications, and allergies accurately in EMR
- Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) including A1C and support CGM-related workflows
- Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure a clean and organized clinical environment
- Support patient flow, scheduling, and communication while maintaining high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant or relevant clinical experience – Required
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR active CT CNA, EMT, or Paramedic Certification – Required
- Knowledge of A1C, CGM, and POCT – Preferred
- Epic EMR experience – Preferred
- In lieu of education, 2 years of direct patient care experience may be considered
- Must be a local candidate within 45 minutes of clinic
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
