Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility, located in Bellingham, WA 98225. This is a 3 month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Specific Duties:Rooming patients: taking vitals, updating medical history, and preparing for provider visitAssisting providers during exams and minor proceduresAdministering medications and injections as directedPerforming point-of-care testing (e.g., blood glucose, rapid strep)Managing patient flow and scheduling follow-upsDocumenting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)Handling phone calls and prescription refillsMaintaining clean and stocked exam roomsEnsuring compliance with infection control and safety protocolsMust-Have Qualifications/Experience:High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant programProficiency in EHR systemsBasic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical proceduresCurrent CPR/BLS certificationPreferred Skills/Attributes:Strong communication and patient education skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with insurance processes and prior authorizationsQualifications:1 year of preferred experienceCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferredHigh school diploma or equivalentBLS Certification Additional Information:Location: 3130 Ellis St, Bellingham, WA 98225Job Type: 3 months contract assignment (conversion into permanent based on your work performance).Schedule: - Monday through FridayOffice Hours: Monday -Thursday 8 am-5 pmPay Range: $18-29/hrs. on W2 without benefits #PHCUHGClinical $250 *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
