Job Summary:
The Ancillary Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting clinical systems critical to the organization. This role ensures the integrity, safety, and availability of data and applications, while troubleshooting system issues, driving enhancements, and supporting seamless integrations with 3rd-party applications and Epic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain system dictionaries, profiles, and tables.
Troubleshoot and resolve application errors and system issues.
Test configurations, customizations, and system updates before production deployment.
Collaborate with end-users on designing and testing reports.
Lead system design, validation, and remediation efforts.
Support and develop interface files while ensuring smooth data flow.
Manage enhancement requests and coordinate with vendors.
Understand workflows and integrations between 3rd-party applications and Epic systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum Experience:
5 years with the relevant application/module or equivalent systems.
3 years in a healthcare environment, preferably in acute care.
Technical Skills:
Experience With Hospital 3rd-party Applications.
Knowledge of Nurse Call Systems (Critical Alert).
Familiarity with Real Location-Based Applications.
Proficiency in Fetal Monitoring Applications (e.g., Centricity Perinatal).
Experience With Patient Engagement Applications (e.g., Pcare).
Familiarity with Patient Sitter Monitoring Systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Licensure:
Required: Current CA driver’s license for local travel.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of Epic workflows and integration with 3rd-party applications.
