Contract: 13 weeks with strong possibility of extension
Schedule: Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM | 3x11.5-hour shifts
Guaranteed hours per week: 34.50
Pay: Competitive (Up to $50/hour)
Job Summary
Pride Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a contract opportunity in New York, NY. The CST will support surgical teams in the operating room by ensuring proper preparation, sterile techniques, and efficient assistance during procedures.
Responsibilities
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, sterile equipment, and supplies
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile field
• Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical tools
• Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation
• Monitor and restock surgical supplies as needed
• Collaborate with perioperative team members for optimal patient care
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) required
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and patient care
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and OR protocols
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in obstetrics or labor & delivery
• Prior experience in high-volume surgical settings
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
