Job Summary
The Regional Director of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple sites, overseeing key functions including Sterile Processing (SPD), Transportation, and Facilities. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization across the region.
The Director will lead site-level leadership teams, standardize processes, and implement scalable solutions to enhance quality, efficiency, and service delivery while aligning operations with organizational growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Leadership & Strategy:
- Provide leadership oversight across SPD, Transportation, and Facilities operations
- Develop and guide site Directors, Managers, and Coordinators
- Establish regional goals, KPIs, and operational standards
- Align operations with company strategy and growth initiatives
- Drive integration and collaboration across departments
Operations & Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with AAMI, CDC, CMS, DOT, OSHA, and accreditation standards
- Oversee audit readiness, inspections, and regulatory adherence
- Standardize workflows, documentation, and operational processes
- Monitor performance trends and mitigate operational risks
Leadership Development & Talent Management:
- Mentor and coach multi-site leadership teams
- Build succession pipelines and leadership bench strength
- Drive performance management and accountability frameworks
- Support recruitment and onboarding for key leadership roles
Quality, Throughput & Continuous Improvement:
- Own regional performance metrics (quality, turnaround time, throughput)
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Identify and scale best practices across sites
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with clinical teams and healthcare systems
- Align operational functions with service-level expectations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, logistics, and facilities
- Represent the region in executive-level planning and strategic discussions
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 years of operational experience
- 5 years in multi-site leadership roles
- Proven leadership across Sterile Processing, Logistics, Facilities, or similar functions
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (AAMI, CDC, CMS, OSHA, DOT)
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive performance outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or equivalent certification
- Experience in high-growth or multi-site healthcare environments
- Background in operational scaling and transformation initiatives

Additional Information:
- Location: Modesto, CA 95354
- Shift: Days - Monday -Friday (5x8 shifts)
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Local Pay range: $65-$70/hour
