Pride Health is looking for a Workstation Support Technician to support our client’s medical facility which is in Jacksonville, FL (Onsite)
Title: Workstation Support Technician
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 12 Month Contract with possibility of extension depends on your performance
Rate: $20 to 23/hr
The Workstation Support Technician collaborates with internal business units to ensure that hardware and software orders are accurately received, configured, scheduled, and installed. This role provides on-site technical support, equipment installations, relocations, and customer service while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and IT security policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all equipment is properly labeled according to organizational specifications.
- Research, verify, and document device specifications in alignment with purchase orders and established standards.
- Coordinate with service teams and business units to relocate equipment as requested.
- Work independently to perform on-site installations, technical support, and basic repairs.
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers and support services such as Help Desk, Applications, and Materials Management.
- Assist with end-user training by explaining basic hardware/software concepts, requirements, and procedures.
- Communicate scheduling details, move/add/change implications, and service impacts to customers.
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and equipment required for installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure teams to manage parts and equipment inventory.
- Evaluate and process equipment in accordance with IT Security policies and guidelines.
- Participate in overtime and on-call rotations as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience using ticket tracking systems and documentation tools.
- Flexible workload to accommodate special projects and high-priority requests.
- Basic understanding of computer-related terminology, including CPU, networking, LAN/WAN, client/server environments, and internet technologies.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching overhead.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds or more.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of customer service experience supporting computer hardware and software
- OR
- Associate’s degree
- OR
- Two (2) years of technical school training in Computers, Technology, Electronics, or a related field
