POSITION: Library Information Technology Systems Administrator

EMPLOYMENT NOTE:
- Positions are full-time and contingent upon contract award.
- As part of the proposal submission process, candidates must be prepared to provide their Social Security Number (SSN) to the Facility Security Officer (FSO). This information is required by the Contracting Office to verify active security clearance status within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS). SSN collection will be conducted securely and solely for clearance verification purposes in support of proposal submission.

BACKGROUND
The Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) provides technical, logistical, maintenance, and training support associated with the installation, operation, alteration, maintenance, and readiness of shipboard systems for United States Navy (USN) ships. SERMC supports approximately 900 military and civilian personnel in execution of its mission.
POSITION DETAILS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and maintain the Engineering Technical Library
- Serve as the drawing archivist and automated reproduction specialist
- Upload and maintain drawings and/or links for homeported ships in CORETL (Combined Regional Technical Libraries)
- Ensure proper organization, indexing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and technical documents
- Maintain technical publications, specifications, and manufacturer catalogs
- Manage online master files referencing drawings and document indices
- Archive technical documents, determine retention value, and properly dispose of records in accordance with requirements
- Provide customer service support to engineers and staff in locating technical materials
- Operate office and reproduction equipment, including scanners, plotters, copiers, and related systems
- Produce and reproduce engineering drawings, including Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) outputs created by engineers
- Utilize government information management and timekeeping systems as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a technical library environment
- Experience maintaining technical publications, specifications, and manufacturer catalogs
- Experience managing and archiving technical documents and drawings
- Experience providing customer service support for document retrieval
- Experience operating reproduction and computer equipment (scanner, plotter, copier, etc.)
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Working knowledge of timekeeping and information management systems, including:
- FTS/TAR/SUPDESK
- Business Objects
- Microsoft SharePoint
- MRQT (Material Requirements Tool)
- Familiarity with CAD drawing reproduction and technical documentation systems
