Pride Health is seeking candidates for an Exercise Physiologist opportunity in Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. This is a 16 weeks assignment with a possible extension.
Responsibilities:
· Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
· Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
· Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
· Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
· Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
· Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment.
· Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
Qualifications:
· BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology.
· Preferred one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus.
· Non-Expired Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification REQUIRED.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions.
Additional Information:
Job Title: Exercise Physiologist
Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
Schedule: This is a 40 hour per week position, with a schedule that remains TBD. There is a possibility of four 10hr shifts per week or five 8hr shifts per week. Schedule is currently TBD. Night, evening and weekend WORK will be required; and may not be consistent from week to week.
Pay Range: $20 to $24/hr
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
