Job Title: Telecom Project Manager
Location: Hybrid - Rochester MN 55902
Shift: Day - 8 am to 4 pm or 9 AM to 5 PM
Duration: 6 Months Contract (with the possibility of extension)
Rate Range: $55 to $65 per hour on W2

Role Overview
The Project Manager will lead day to day execution of the MSS & Telecom Device Segmentation Project, managing scope, schedule, dependencies, and delivery across multiple technical and operational teams. This role is responsible for driving the project through defined segmentation phases and ensuring outcomes align with approved charters, governance expectations, and operational handoff requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the integrated project plan covering all segmentation phases, including pre enforcement, enforcement, validation, re enforcement, and operational transition.
-Coordinate work across Information Security, Network Engineering, MSS, Telecom, HTM, and external vendors to ensure timely execution of segmentation activities.
-Facilitate project intake, kickoff, working sessions, and recurring status and leadership updates. -Track risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (e.g., vendor limitations, network hardware constraints, device owner readiness) and drive mitigation or escalation.
-Ensure segmentation activities align to enterprise standards, approved charters, and governance bodies (e.g., segmentation and SGT governance).
-Maintain project documentation, including milestones, enforcement metrics, decision logs, and completion criteria.
-Support transition planning to steady state operations, including defined ownership, change management, and ongoing enforcement processes.
Desired Background & Skills -Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross functional IT infrastructure or cybersecurity projects.
-Working understanding of network segmentation and enterprise networking concepts sufficient to manage technical dependencies and risks (no hands on configuration required).
-Strong stakeholder management skills in a regulated enterprise environment.
-Proven ability to develop clear project reporting, dashboards, and executive ready status materials (e.g., schedule health, enforcement progress, risks and blockers).
-Experience translating technical execution into concise leadership communications and decision support.
-PMP or equivalent project management experience strongly preferred.
-Comfortable working directly with engineers and operational teams to validate real world behaviors and constraints.
-Highly detail oriented and process driven, with experience supporting multiple device classes or technology domains.

-Hands on, execution focused contractor roles aligned to an active, in flight segmentation program.
-High collaboration across security, network, and operational teams.
-Strong emphasis on documentation, traceability, and repeatable enforcement processes.
-Alignment to enterprise zero trust and least privilege security principles.
THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION. It is an approximate split of 50%. Based on the past segmentation efforts I would also say it is likely they will spend more time working remote. However, I want to be clear, the expectation is they will come onsite when needed and for as long as needed. It is this caveat that could change the % split either way.
