Job Description
The Cardiology Technologist is responsible for assisting physicians in the performance of various cardiology-related diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role supports multiple cardiology areas, including the Cath Lab, Stress Lab, and Nuclear Stress Lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cardiology procedures such as:
- Left Heart Cath
- Right Heart Cath
- PCI
- IABP Insertion
- Pericardiocentesis
- Swan-Ganz Insertion
- Stress Testing
- Nuclear Stress Testing
- Implantable Loop Recorder procedures
- Perform in varied roles across cardiology units, including:
- Radiology Technologist
- Documenter
- Stress Lab Assistant
- Nuclear Stress Lab Assistant
- Ensure accuracy in documentation and patient workflow
- Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Support efficient operation across all cardiology departments
Requirements
- Completion of a two-year occupationally specific program or an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- RT(R) registration required (RCIS acceptable)
- CPR and ACLS certifications required
- NASPE certification is a plus
Salary : $70 - $80
