Russell Tobin/Pride Global is currently seeking an Operational Support Specialist to work for one of our top global tech clients! This role owns real-time coordination of On-Site Staff, ensuring shifts are fully staffed, issues are resolved quickly, and communication flows smoothly between the field and central operations. You serve as the control tower during your shift, keeping operations running effectively and stepping in when issues arise.
Pay: $33-$35/hr. depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time hours
Location: New York City Metro - within 30 minutes of the city for onsite and shift coverage
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Management and Staffing
- Assign onsite staff to shifts and ensure full coverage across all active jobs
- Monitor attendance, lateness, and no-shows, taking immediate corrective action
- Backfill gaps in real time through reassignments or escalation
- Real-Time Operations Oversight
- Troubleshoot live issues such as late arrivals, setup problems, and participant confusion
- Escalate critical issues with clear context and recommended solutions
- Communication Hub
- Serve as the primary point of contact for onsite staff during active shifts
- Respond quickly and clearly to questions, updates, and issues
- Coordinate with internal teams including operations, support, and launchers as needed
What Good Looks Like:
- All shifts are fully staffed with minimal last-minute disruption
- Onsite staff are clear on where to be and what to do
- Issues are resolved quickly and efficiently when possible
- Communication is fast, clear, and proactive
- Participants experience smooth, well-run onsite operations
Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in operations, logistics, hospitality, or similar fast-paced environments
- Strong real-time decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
- Highly reliable, responsive, and organized
- Experience in dispatch, shift scheduling, or gig workforce management is preferred
- Nice to have familiarity with last-mile logistics or on-demand operations
