Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including transmissions, engines (including diesel engines), and vehicle suspension systems.
- Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle suspension repairs to ensure optimal handling and safety standards.
- Interpret automotive electrical systems and schematics to troubleshoot wiring and electronic component failures effectively.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to execute repairs with precision.
- Diagnose ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features and calibrate sensors to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, managing auto estimating processes, and ensuring transparency throughout the service experience.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension components.
- Skilled in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and the use of specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic devices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
