Hybrid — 2 days onsite (Mondays and Thursdays), 3 days remote Primary location: 4601 W. Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX 78701 Local candidates only — relocation not supported Standard hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays) Overtime may be required with pre-approval; all travel and living expenses are the candidate's responsibility

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery, enable high-performing cross-functional teams, and ensure consistent application of Scrum principles and practices. This role supports delivery of enterprise data, analytics, and modernization initiatives by fostering collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master serves as a servant leader and coach to the product owner, development team, and stakeholders — removing impediments, promoting Agile best practices, and ensuring alignment with program and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team delivery. Coach teams on self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement. Analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and recommend process improvements. Support reporting on velocity, sprint metrics, and overall delivery progress. Collaborate across organizational units to understand requirements and resolve dependencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
8 years required — Scrum Master experience on Agile teams delivering technology or data platforms
8 years required — Facilitating Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives 8 years required — Identifying, tracking, and removing impediments impacting team delivery
8 years required — Coaching teams on self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement
8 years required — Agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira)
8 years required — Reporting on velocity, sprint metrics, and delivery progress
8 years required — Working in enterprise or large-scale IT initiatives
4 years preferred — State or government technology projects
4 years preferred — Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
