Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory management, including stock counting, replenishment, and organization using warehouse management systems and RF scanners
• Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely
• Support warehouse distribution activities by picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment with precision and efficiency
• Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of goods in accordance with OSHA standards
• Perform materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, stocking shelves, and utilizing mechanical knowledge for safe equipment operation
• Maintain accurate inventory control records and assist in cycle counts or audits as needed
• Support warehouse supervisor in maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations

Skills

• Strong experience in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse distribution processes
• Proficiency in operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other heavy equipment
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 systems, RF scanners, and order fulfillment software
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance for safe handling of materials
• Experience in shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing, and load & unload activities
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during stocking or order fulfillment tasks
• Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation
• Construction or manufacturing background is advantageous for understanding complex logistics environments
