Responsibilities
- Utilize RF scanners and barcode scanning technology to accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including lifting, stacking, and loading goods while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Manage inventory through warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring stock levels are accurate and properly organized.
- Prepare orders for shipment by packing items securely, labeling packages correctly, and verifying order accuracy through quality control checks.
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment, maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Support warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving, stocking, and inventory management to optimize workflow.
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems for order fulfillment accuracy.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper safety procedures.
- Familiarity with barcode scanning for logistics operations including order picking, packing, shipping & receiving.
- Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights, or verifying inventory counts.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse operations including safety protocol adherence and quality control standards.
- Mechanical aptitude or prior experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
