About Price Farms Organics
Price Farms Organics is a family-owned composting and landscape supply company established in 1997. We are the designated compost facility for Delaware County and proudly support Central Ohio residents and businesses by recycling organics and producing high-quality compost, soil, and mulch products. We transform materials otherwise headed to the landfill into valuable resources for yards, gardens, and farms. As our operation continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our outside operations team.
Position Overview
This position plays a key role in daily operations. This position involves operating heavy equipment, physical labor, handling materials, assisting customers, supporting farm production and bagging operations. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who enjoys equipment, physical work, and working outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently (primarily wheel loaders, but this could also include skid loaders, trucks, tractors, and forklifts)
- Load vehicles with bulk and bagged materials
- Move materials between production, storage, and loading areas
- Screening, stacking or blending composts mulches or soils
- Assist in the bagging operation
- Assist in farm projects and hay production
- Perform basic equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Monitor inbound materials and maintain quality control across the site
- Work closely with the operations team to keep the yard running smoothly
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service
- Some Overtime and Saturday shifts required
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting 40–50 lbs. repeatedly
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-focused mindset
- Good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Equipment experience is a plus, but training will be provided
