Price Benowitz LLP is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to lead and expand our presence in Roanoke, Virginia. This is a unique opportunity for a business-generating attorney with an existing book of business to plug into a firm that provides strong infrastructure, marketing, and operational support.
This role is ideal for an attorney who is looking to grow their practice, increase earnings, and leverage firm resources while maintaining autonomy over their caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution
- Handle cases including divorce, custody, child support, equitable distribution, spousal support, and protective orders
- Leverage and transition an existing book of business into the firm
- Continue to develop new client relationships and referral sources in the Roanoke market
- Represent clients in court, mediations, and settlement negotiations across Southwest Virginia
- Provide strategic legal counsel and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate with firm leadership to support market expansion efforts in Virginia
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Virginia Bar license in good standing
- 5 years of family law experience required
- Demonstrated ability to generate and maintain a book of business (required)
- Strong litigation and courtroom experience
- Proven ability to manage cases independently
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a practice
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills
- Highly competitive compensation structure with uncapped earning potential
- Generous commission model for both self-originated and firm-generated work
- No billable hour requirements
