Lead Databricks Specialist
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: Full-time (Not open to third-party candidates)
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Databricks Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Databricks to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, supporting and guiding an established DBA team while helping drive modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and day-to-day guidance to the existing DBA team, including reporting updates to the Manager
- Serve as a technical leader, introducing and driving adoption of Databricks within the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database and data platform initiatives
- Ensure best practices across database management, performance optimization, and cloud integration
Required Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (senior developer level expertise)
- Solid knowledge of database technologies including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
- Experience working within AWS cloud environments
- Proven ability to lead or mentor teams (or a strong desire to step into a leadership role)
- Proficiency in Python scripting
