Quality & Regulatory Compliance (QRC) Representative – Contract
Location: Hybrid – Travel to PA & Midwest Plants
Duration: 3 months (with potential extension for additional 3 months)
Travel: Required (Manufacturing plants & Distribution Centers)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality & Regulatory Compliance (QRC) Representative to support The Hershey Company owned facilities and salty co-manufacturing/co-packaging partners. This role focuses on food safety, regulatory compliance, audits, and operational quality oversight across multiple sites.
Under guidance and supervision, the representative will lead quality programs, manage complex quality issues, support audits, and act as a key resource for food safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Manufacturing Oversight
- Supervise operations at external manufacturers and co-packers
- Review 24-hour production documentation and evaluate finished products
- Verify process parameters and escalate deviations to ensure corrective actions
- Support innovation trials and cross-functional quality initiatives
Audits & Compliance
- Audit U.S. Distribution Centers (DCs) against Global Food Safety Standards
- Prepare audit reports, perform GAP analysis, and develop corrective action plans
- Work with DC teams to close identified gaps
Customer & Incident Management
- Work directly with Private Label customers
- Manage complaints, escalate quality incidents, and drive root-cause resolution
- Collaborate with facilities to implement sustainable corrective actions
Extended Assignment (If Program Is Extended)
- Provide coverage for a QA Coordinator paternity leave
- Support Quality Coordinator responsibilities at the Bethlehem plant
Typical Day
- On-site supervision of manufacturing operations
- Review production paperwork and product quality checks
- Verify critical parameters and food safety controls
- Travel for DC audits, followed by report writing and stakeholder reviews
Top Technical Skills
- Quality & Food Safety experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Strong HACCP knowledge and application
- Audit experience (manufacturing, DC, or certification audits)
Required Experience & Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in Food Manufacturing or Quality/Food Safety roles
- Experience auditing facilities (internal, supplier, or certification audits)
- Participation in HACCP program development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and time-management skills (travel-heavy role)
