What are the responsibilities and job description for the Impaired Driver Program Facilitator position at Prevention Network?
Position: Impaired Driver Instructor for Syracuse Area
Purpose: Under the supervision of the Director of the Impaired Driver Program you will be facilitating a 7-week (16/hour) course for individuals who have been convicted of Driving Under the Influence in the state of New York.
Description: This is a part-time position where the instructor will be required to teach 2.5-hour classes each week for 7 consecutive weeks. We are looking for instructors who are available Monday through Thursday (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM subject to change) or Saturday mornings (8:30 AM - 11:00 AM). Instructors will be provided with training to implement the program curriculum through the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
Education:
Associates degree preferred, but not required
NY State approved IDP instructors welcome to apply - we will send your resume to the DMV for approval before setting up interviews.
Position Qualifications:
- You must hold a driver’s license valid for operation in New York State
- You must have no record of suspension or revocation of the driver's license for a period of at least three years prior to instructing in the Impaired Driver Program
- You must not be an employee or retained by an alcoholism and substance abuse evaluation/treatment provider where IDP participants are referred
