Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to provide Information Management (IM) / Knowledge Management (KM) System Development Support to Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) Information Warfare (IW) Type Commander (TYCOM) as a Business System Analyst. This is a part-time role.
NAVIFOR exercises responsibility as the Navy’s IW TYCOM to organize, man, train, equip, and maintain Navy IW Forces, and related activities to the required levels of current readiness afloat and ashore. The Business System Analyst will provide subject matter expertise in communication, collaboration, and coordination across various IW mission areas (CYBER, CRY, INTEL, C3/DoDIN, and METOC) by applying IM/KM methodologies to enhance information management processes and improve collaboration and knowledge sharing using Naval enterprise information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support IM and KM initiatives to improve the capture, communication, and promotion of readiness/requirements projects, products, business processes, and services for both internal and external stakeholders
- Assess current information management and collaboration tool usage against best practice benchmarks, including the IM Body of Knowledge (IMBOK) and ARMA Records and Information Management (RIM): Fundamentals of Professional Practice
- Provide expertise in IM/KM processes and tools to support the effective sharing of content and knowledge both within the IW enterprise and across division and directorate functions
- Develop and implement knowledge and information management strategies, methodologies, and solutions using government-approved domains in accordance with DoD and DoN standards and regulations
- Support the development, management, and maintenance of Naval enterprise collaborative environments through the use of platforms such as Flankspeed Office 365, Intellink, and other Naval/DoD collaboration environments
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience with SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Online, including programming, administration, and configuration
- Two (2) years of experience using JavaScript or other programming languages to create dynamic content within a SharePoint environment
- Two (2) years of experience in technical writing and training users on SharePoint-based solutions
- Knowledge of federal government and DoD information assurance security controls
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills to address IM/KM challenges and optimize solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams
Desired:
- Familiarity with the organization and hierarchy of the military rank and grade structure
- Knowledge of military terminology and Information Warfare operational concepts
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Management, Knowledge Management, Computer Science, or similar)
Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI Clearance
