Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from contract award through final completion. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and project closeout while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong background managing commercial, industrial, utility, or infrastructure electrical construction projects. Experience with municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, or similar process facilities is highly preferred, but candidates with strong electrical construction project management experience in related industries are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously from contract award through project closeout.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project schedules to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, financial reporting, and overall project profitability.
- Coordinate procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontractor services.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
- Lead project scheduling, resource planning, and coordination with field personnel.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, general contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, productivity, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support commissioning, startup, punch list completion, project turnover, and final closeout documentation.
- Proactively identify project risks and develop solutions to maintain schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all project specifications, contract requirements, safety standards, and applicable codes.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing electrical construction projects.
- Demonstrated success managing projects from contract award through project completion.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, subcontractors, and project documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction/project management software.
Preferred
- Experience managing electrical construction projects within municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, water reclamation facilities, or other municipal infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
- Switchgear
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- PLC and SCADA systems
- Instrumentation and controls
- Electrical power distribution
- Experience working with municipalities, public agencies, utility providers, engineers, and design teams.
- Familiarity with commissioning and startup of industrial or process electrical systems.
Salary : $140,000 - $180,000
