Position Overview

We are seeking a Northeast Area Sales Manager to drive sales, expand distribution, and build strong relationships with retailers and distributors in the region. This hybrid role requires both merchandising and sales expertise, with a strong focus on in-store execution, relationship-building, and market expansion. The ideal candidate will have retail experience in key Northeast chains and a deep understanding of distributor management.

Key Responsibilities

• Territory Management: Cover Northeast retailers, ensuring optimal market penetration.
• Retail Execution: Merchandise stores, gain additional points of sale (POS), upsell promotions, and build relationships with store and district managers.
• Sales & Distribution Growth: Secure new distribution in local independent markets, NCG and INFRA stores.
• Retailer Partnerships: Work with key Northeast retailers.
• Distributor Management: Oversee local KAM and ASM reps from distributors to ensure proper execution and sales growth.
• Sales Calls & Events: Participate in sales calls, attend local marketing events, and support demos as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales and merchandising, preferably in the natural and specialty food space.
• Strong knowledge of the Northeast grocery retail landscape.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with store and district managers.
• Experience managing distributor sales teams is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel within the region as needed.
