Summary
Directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibility for production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and other production-related functions—while making safety the top priority. Leads cultural initiatives to create a great place to work that attracts and retains top talent. Utilizes lean manufacturing techniques, visual controls, and plant performance metrics to achieve production goals and drive continuous improvement. Provides leadership in problem-solving to enable faster resolutions and stronger working relationships. Your leadership will ensure that customer orders and premium products are processed and delivered on schedule. With full P&L responsibility, you will also have the opportunity to influence product development, establish quality benchmarks, and drive operational efficiency.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage the leadership team consisting of Production Manager, Quality Manager, Process Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Shipping Supervisor.
- Assist with resource planning to include direct and indirect staffing as well as scheduling and material planning.
- Effectively utilizing available resources to meet plans for customer stock and make and ship
- Monitor plant activities, assist with problems as necessary to meet planned production schedules and to ensure product quality standards are maintained.
- Recommend and establish department organization, staff responsibilities and related authorities to meet planned objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve unusual problems related to equipment, tooling, material and product designs.
- Develop and implement operating methods and procedures to increase plant
- Develop and implement reporting methods and systems to evaluate and control attainment of department objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment purchases to improve plant
- Work with other departments to assist with the development of new products or product
- Ensure company conformance with governmental agency, OSHA and EPA
- Responsible for developing and managing the plant budget with full p/l
- Insure operation of the plant in compliance with ISO, GMP and state or federal
- Drive OEE by monitor equipment and labor
- Review production costs and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance plant profitability.
- Communicate with and visit customers to ensure customer
- Approve all purchases for the
- Develop and submit capital expenditure requests to regional
- Determine proper labor requirements and implement appropriate training
- Participate in seminars and trade shows, read trade literature and travel to other plants to gain the best practices that may be implemented in the plant.
- Working closely with human resources for activities and plant
- Coordinate and conduct meetings (production, quality, maintenance, OSHA safety training, ISO, ASI and GMP practices, and customer complaints).

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree plus 7 to 10 years’ experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment preferably in the packaging/plastics industry
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, track progress and stay on
- Intermediate/Advance in the following software is preferred: Word, Excel, and
- Strong planning and organizational
- Effective leadership skills, strong decision-making skills, and ability to lead and drive
- Well organized, accurate and strong attention to

- Work is conducted in office and production environments where physical conditions include proximity to moving mechanical parts and exposure to high temperatures, heat from equipment, hot water, hot plastic, hydraulic fluids, etc.
