What You’ll Do
You’ll be the go-to expert for mold performance, tooling integrity, and production uptime. Your work directly impacts quality, efficiency, and output.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-cavity injection molds
- Perform precision machining using lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
- Execute preventative maintenance and mold repair, including:
- Diagnose and maintain hot runner systems
- Sharpen and maintain tooling (cutting rings, blades, and shop tools)
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specs
- Troubleshoot mold/tooling issues and collaborate on solutions that improve uptime
- Maintain equipment (coolant, oil, calibration) and ensure shop readiness
- Document work accurately in logs or work cards
- Uphold strict safety, cleanliness, and product sanitation standards
What You Bring
This role is built for a true technician—not just an operator.
- 5 years of experience working with injection molds and close-tolerance tooling
- Strong machining background in a toolroom or manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting molds and diagnosing production issues
- High attention to detail with a commitment to doing things right the first time
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
