Manufacturing Quality Systems Supervisor (Plastics Packaging)

Location: Onsite at our Carrollton, Texas plant

Step into a day where precision meets pace. You arrive on the production floor, greet a team of inspectors and technicians, sync with the onsite Quality Manager, and dive into overnight trend data. A nonconformance triggered by a control plan check? You lead the root-cause huddle, align corrective actions, and update validation documents before the next run. By mid-morning, you’re coaching a tech through SPC signals, then joining Operations to fine-tune a startup. After lunch, you walk a customer through audit readiness, verify HACCP records, and close the day with a brief on CAPA progress and food safety training milestones.

• Translate plant and corporate objectives into a practical quality roadmap and measurable KPIs.
• Build, uphold, and improve GMP/CGMP-based quality systems and documentation.
• Lead or facilitate root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to eliminate defects.
• Support internal, customer, and third-party audits; maintain constant audit readiness.
• Develop specifications, risk-based control plans, and validation/verification protocols.
• Implement monitoring systems, apply SPC, and use data analytics to anticipate issues.
• Own key food safety elements: HACCP plans, CCP oversight, documentation, and training.
• Ensure all raw materials and finished goods meet stringent safety and regulatory expectations.
• Coach, mentor, and schedule quality inspectors/technicians; partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Champion a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Consistent shipment of compliant, high-quality product.
• Strong audit outcomes with minimal findings.
• Downward trends in customer complaints and internal defects.
• An engaged, proactive quality mindset across the plant.

• 2–3 years in a supervisory capacity within manufacturing; rigid plastics experience is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish (read, write, speak) is required.
• Degree in Quality Engineering or Quality Management (or equivalent).
• Deep familiarity with GMP/CGMP, BRCGS, FDA-regulated practices, and audit processes.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
• Proficiency with cause mapping, RCA, FMEA, SPC, validation, and change control.
• Comfort with ERP software and precision measurement/inspection tools.

• Quality inspection and quality control expertise.
• Hands-on GMP discipline and food safety knowledge (HACCP, CCP management).
• Data-driven problem solving and a continuous improvement mindset.
