Job Overview
The Production Operator (Night shift, 10:00pm – 6:30am) is within our Auto/Car Care/Prestone division and is responsible for the daily operations of the filling line production area, ensuring that the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable company requirements. This role is located at our Alsip, Illinois facility.
Your role at Prestone
The production facility operates in an industrial setting that combines both indoor and outdoor areas without climate control. A requirement is the capacity to lift to 40 pounds regularly. Duties involve bending, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, handling, feeling, seeing, hearing, and remaining in a standing position for extended durations.

Job Overview
The Production Operator (Night shift, 10:00pm – 6:30am) is within our Auto/Car Care/Prestone division and is responsible for the daily operations of the filling line production area, ensuring that the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable company requirements. This role is located at our Alsip, Illinois facility.
Your role at Prestone
- Responsible for the daily operation and monitoring of a production line, ensuring that the product adheres to Prestone’s standards of safety, quality, and throughput.
- Monitor the production line, observing for issues such as pile-ups, jams, or defects.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and remove defective or substandard materials or products.
- Consistently adheres to Prestone’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Maintain cleanliness throughout all production areas, including break rooms and restrooms. Process plastic, cardboard, and grind bottles as necessary.
- Maintain quality requirements according to company standards by accurately completing hourly inspection sheets that reflect overall production quality. Be responsible for promptly identifying and reporting any quality defects.
- Identifying unsafe conditions and behaviors while adhering to plant safety regulations, including safe lifting techniques and correct machine handling, is crucial. Personal protective equipment should be worn when necessary.
- Demonstrates the ability and skill to work in all assigned areas of filling production and performs relief duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year manufacturing experience in any operations role required.
- Basic math and good communication skills (verbal, written).
