What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at Nutra19?
Nutra19 LLC is seeking motivated and dependable Production Operators to join our manufacturing team. Production Operators support the filling, bottling, packaging, cleaning, and day-to-day operation of our liquid nutraceutical manufacturing lines.
Previous experience operating liquid filling or packaging equipment is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and support liquid filling, capping, labeling, coding, and packaging operations.
- Load and handle bottles, caps, labels, cartons, and other packaging components.
- Monitor products and containers as they move through the production line.
- Inspect bottles and finished products for defects, improper fills, damaged packaging, incorrect labels, or other quality issues.
- Assist Maintenance and Production personnel with filling-line setup, breakdown, adjustment, and product changeovers.
- Perform hand packing, boxing, case packing, palletizing, and other finished-goods activities.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, filling-line components, and manufacturing areas.
- Complete required production and cleaning documentation accurately.
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, GMP requirements, safety procedures, and supervisor directives.
- Maintain an organized and clean production environment throughout the shift.
- Monitor production equipment and immediately report jams, leaks, unusual operation, damaged components, or other problems.
- Assist with line clearance and preparation between products and production runs.
- Help ensure production schedules, quotas, and deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Support other manufacturing and warehouse activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with liquid filling, bottling, labeling, packaging, or similar production equipment is a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Able to adapt to changing production priorities and assignments.
- Willing and able to receive direction and execute assigned tasks correctly and efficiently.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to learn multiple positions and responsibilities throughout the production line.
- Self-motivated and willing to push themselves to help the team meet production goals and deadlines.
- Able to maintain productivity while still following quality, safety, and GMP requirements.
- Comfortable identifying a problem, stopping when necessary, and notifying a supervisor rather than allowing a known issue to continue.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed during the production day.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to regularly lift and move materials or finished goods weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, squat, lift, pack, and perform repetitive production activities.
- Ability to work around moving manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE and comply with facility hygiene and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for people who are reliable, hardworking, coachable, and team-oriented. Production priorities can change throughout the day, so successful operators must be willing to adapt, take direction, learn new tasks, and help wherever needed.
You do not need previous liquid filling experience to be successful in this role. We are willing to train candidates who show up consistently, work with purpose, follow procedures, care about the quality of their work, and want to become valuable members of the production team.
