Job Overview
Prestige is seeking a motivated and skilled Traditional Storage Installation Supervisor to help lead crews within our installation team. Our products, such as pallet racks, mezzanines, modular offices, and wire partitions, require a strong mechanical aptitude for installation. While technical skills are crucial, leadership abilities are equally important. As a supervisor, you will serve as the foreman, guiding a team to ensure successful project completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, effective communication, customer service, and the ability to mentor and inspire others.
While most of our projects are within driving distance of Chattanooga, some may require travel within a 300-mile radius. Pay premiums are available for travel-based projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the storage and material handling equipment we distribute and the unique challenges of installing each type.
- Lead installation teams to successfully complete projects safely, on time, and according to specifications.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical and installation skills.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols on all job sites.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction or related fields.
- Strong background in mechanical systems and their installation.
- Experience operating lifts (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts) and other material handling equipment.
- Proficient in using hand tools and various power tools.
- Fabrication skills (e.g., welding) are preferred, but not required.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
