Professional Pooper Scooper – Temp to Part-Time
Location: Gardner, MA and surrounding towns (within ~20 min drive); includes once-weekly service in Worcester
Pay: $18–$20/hr tips
Routes Serve These Cities (assigned daily – not all towns every day): Ashburnham, Ashby, Baldwinville, Cherry Valley (Worcester Area), East Templeton, Fitchburg, Gardner, Hubbardston, Jefferson, Leominster, Lunenburg, Oakham, Phillipston, Rutland, Templeton, Townsend, West Townsend, Westminster, Winchendon, Worcester.
Job Overview:
Drive your assigned daily route to clean dog waste from clients' yards. Work independently outdoors in all weather (rain, snow, heat, cold—unless unsafe like lightning). Must love dogs, handle barking/large/excited dogs safely (we avoid aggressive ones in yards), provide excellent customer service, and stay reliable/punctual.
Key Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record (required)
- Valid driver's license, pass background check
- Physically able: fast-paced walking, lots of bending, repetitive heavy lifting (30–40 lbs occasionally)
- Pay close attention to detail to ensure thorough, high-quality cleanups
- Work in ALL weather unless dangerous
- Reliable—show up every scheduled day; clients depend on us
- Start times 7–9 AM; some Saturdays required (not every week)
Spring Work Note: Spring cleanups are heavy—long hours, lots of bending, heavy/repetitive lifting. After that, it's a breezy weekly routine. This is temporary through end of May (with potential for longer-term).
Tools, equipment, supplies, routes, training, and uniforms (hats/shirts) provided. You supply pants, coat, safe footwear, and smartphone.
