Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal to ensure a secure environment
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning machinery to maintain pristine flooring surfaces
• Conduct sanitation procedures such as disinfecting high-touch surfaces and restrooms to promote health and hygiene standards
• Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, equipment, or supplies as part of routine maintenance or cleaning projects
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial or janitorial cleaning roles with knowledge of custodial best practices
• Strong understanding of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers with proficiency
• Excellent manual handling skills with a focus on safe lifting practices for heavy objects or equipment
• Exceptional customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and industrial cleaning techniques to ensure high-quality results
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or upkeep of cleaning tools and supplies
