What does the Maintenance Painter do?
This position will perform a wide variety of painting duties
in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment. This position also
includes a variety of preventative maintenance and repair procedures.

In this job, every
day you will…
1.
Demonstrate a professional, courteous, and
respectful attitude in interactions with residents, families and visitors.
2.
Fix property drywall repairs, painting, sanding
and patching. Patches, fills nail holes, cracks, etc. with putty, plaster,
sheet rock, taping and any necessary filler
3.
Select premixed paints or prepares paint to
match specified colors by mixing required portions of pigment, oil and thinning
and drying substance
4.
Apply coats of paint, varnish lacquer, stains or
enamel to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings and
fixtures of building’s interior/exterior using approved application methods
5.
Assist with preventive maintenance and completes
minor repair work such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl,
etc., to maintain the building to standard.
6.
Assist with general maintenance requests by the
Maintenance Director and other community/care center leadership.
Education & Experience
you need to qualify:
High School Diploma or general education degree
(GED) and six months or more in general maintenance or painting work
Experience as an
industrial/commercial/residential painter preferred
