Job Description

As a Delivery Driver, you will directly fuel the success of our field Sprinkler Fitters by ensuring they have the tools and materials they need. We are looking for a motivated, safety-conscious, and reliable professional who knows local back roads and traffic patterns well. Beyond deliveries, you will manage incoming orders, organize warehouse stock, and maintain a clean, organized shop. This physically active role requires routinely lifting, pushing, and pulling materials weighing 100 pounds or more.

Hours typically M-F, 5am-1:30pm depending on job site needs, with the occasional opportunity for Overtime.

Office/Warehouse located in Billerica, MA and most job sites for deliveries are in and around Boston or within the 495 Belt.

Essential Functions:

• Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road
• Interact in a positive and professional manner with co-workers, vendors, customers and the public while delivering products to job sites
• Sort and prepare a delivery route to meet project deadlines and team needs
• Pull orders for job sites and load delivery truck
• Deliver project supplies and other supplies as needed in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
• Clean out job sites and returning excess supplies to the Shop
• Drive in inclement weather, such as light snow
• Occasionally, work irregular hours
• Maintains cleanliness of Shop
• Responsible for receiving shipments, stocking, inventory, and organizing supplies in the Shop
• Assists with other projects and duties, as needed

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old, licensed for at least 3 years; and have a clean driving record
• Must be able to obtain DOT certification, including passing a physical & drug test. Company will pay for DOT Card and testing.
• Previous experience driving/delivering supplies/goods, a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Holds high ethical standards at all times
• Will represent the company with a professional manner in person and on the phone
• Proven track record of reliability and punctuality
• Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude
• Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts typically 8 hours, occasionally longer
• Ability to operate and navigate a 14,000-pound delivery truck
• Ability to effectively operate a GPS
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move supplies over 100 pounds
• Capable of moving up and down stairs
• High-school diploma or equivalent
