Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Manager to lead our sprinkler system operations and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Lead the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local building codes.
- Oversee the design and layout of sprinkler systems using blueprint reading, system schematics, and CAD software to ensure accurate implementation.
- Manage field service activities including troubleshooting system issues, performing repairs, and conducting system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all fire codes, NFPA standards, NEC regulations, and proprietary fire alarm control panel requirements during project execution.
- Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional customer service by explaining system features, maintenance procedures, and code compliance requirements.
- Conduct construction inspections to verify proper installation practices and adherence to engineering specifications.
- Supervise a team of technicians by providing training on fire sprinkler fitting, electrical work related to sprinkler systems, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading (electrical blueprints, schematics) and system design for fire sprinkler installations.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems integration with sprinkler systems and sensors.
- Experience with CAD software for layout planning and modifications.
- Construction inspection experience focusing on fire protection systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fire sprinkler fitting and low voltage electrical work.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards, building codes, fire codes and regulations governing fire suppression systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot engineering issues related to fire alarm control panels and sensors effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Hands-on experience with power tools and hand tools used in system installation and maintenance.
- Electrical experience including wiring for proprietary control panels and alarm systems sales or service.
