Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite a variety of commercial loan products, including leveraged loans, credit cards, lines of credit, and commercial mortgages
- Manage the leveraged loan portfolio and lead regular review processes
- Prepare and present credit analyses and risk assessments to approving committees
- Contribute to the development and refinement of credit policies and internal procedures
- Support onboarding and training of junior analysts and interns
- Assign and monitor monthly credit renewals across the analyst team
- Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to gather and assess financial documentation
- Produce scheduled and ad hoc reporting for senior leadership (weekly, monthly, and quarterly)
- Provide support in resolving system-related or technical issues affecting the underwriting team
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, with specific experience underwriting leveraged loans
- Strong understanding of credit risk, financial statement analysis, and banking regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with underwriting platforms or financial analysis systems
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Prior experience mentoring or training junior team members
