Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Land Development Engineer to lead the technical design for land development projects. This role reports directly to the Director of the Land Development Department and is integral to managing design efforts across a multi-disciplinary team of civil engineers, CAD designers, and planners.
The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in site development, stormwater management, utility design, and sustainable site planning. Experience with school, institutional, and commercial projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of drawings, calculations, reports, and technical specifications
- Perform engineering analysis and complete designs for land development projects
- Assess zoning and land use requirements; manage site plan approvals
- Prepare and submit permit applications; coordinate with review agencies
- Conduct occasional site visits to monitor construction quality and progress
- Work collaboratively with architects, landscape architects, contractors, and developers
- Mentor and support junior engineering staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering (Required)
- At least 3 years of direct experience with land development projects
- Familiarity with K-12 school design projects is a plus
- Proficient in Civil 3D and Microsoft Office 360 (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
- Fluent in English
- Primarily office-based with occasional site visits
- May require travel to attend client meetings or project locations
