What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Pressed Cafe?
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all restaurant locations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and brand standards.
- Implement operational systems and best practices for efficiency and consistency.
Team Development & Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor district managers and store-level leaders.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching for improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer service, and operational excellence.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, P&Ls, labor costs, food costs, and operational expenses.
- Analyze financial reports to identify areas for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Set and monitor KPIs across all locations.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with ownership and executive team to define and execute growth strategies.
- Lead new store openings, renovations, and expansion initiatives.
- Identify market trends and competitive opportunities.
Customer Experience & Quality Control:
- Ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction and service across all locations.
- Monitor quality control of food and beverage, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.
- Resolve customer complaints and operational issues effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Director of Operations or Regional Manager in a high-volumem multi-unit restaurant concept.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Deep understanding of restaurant P&Ls, labor planning, and food cost control.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to travel regularly between locations.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
